Deployment Period: April 2023 to 2025
Project Location: The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
Leyden Power has partnered in the development of the Life and Chemical Sciences and Technologies Research Building 2 at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Over the course of the project from April 2023 to 2025, our Battery Energy Storage System (#BESS), the advanced Navy Cube, has supplied sustainable and reliable power to offices and essential power tools on-site. This system powers tower cranes as well as onsite office facilities, providing a stable, sustainable, and low-noise energy source throughout the construction project.

Designed to deliver clean energy with minimal noise and zero harmful emissions, Leyden Power’s BESS system ensures that HKUST’s strategic development plan is underpinned by sustainability and innovation. By efficiently managing peak energy demands, the system ensures uninterrupted power for crane operations and office needs, while supporting environmental responsibility on the construction site.

This project is part of HKUST’s broader commitment to integrating eco-friendly technologies that support positive progress, impactful research, and a greener campus environment. Leyden Power is honored to contribute to this transformative initiative, which exemplifies the future of sustainable construction and energy management, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
