Deployment Date: January 2025
Project Location: Hong Kong
Earlier in 2025, Leyden Power partnered with key stakeholders to support the ambitious reconstruction of Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital, a vital public healthcare institution in Hong Kong. The project focuses on delivering state-of-the-art medical facilities that provide exceptional patient care while setting new benchmarks for sustainability and operational efficiency.

At the heart of the energy strategy is Leyden Power’s Battery Energy Storage System (#BESS), which powers the tower cranes on-site. This system enables peak user convenience by:
Minimizing electricity peak costs and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions,
Ensuring stable and reliable power throughout the redevelopment process,
Eliminating standby power consumption,
Increasing overall site space efficiency

Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital, established in 1991, serves diverse community needs, including a Community Specialty Clinic and a Day Procedure Center. The ongoing redevelopment involves demolition of older wings and construction of a new hospital block, along with refurbishment of outpatient facilities. When completed, the upgraded hospital will expand its capacity and modernize its services, positively impacting thousands of lives.

Leyden Power is proud to contribute clean and sustainable power solutions that support the hospital’s mission of compassionate care and community service. This project exemplifies how innovative energy solutions like BESS can enhance construction efficiency while advancing environmental goals in critical public infrastructure developments.

From consultation to installation and maintenance, we make the switch to clean energy constructive.
